Well, the storms did come roaring in like a lion this morning. However, much later than anticipated. We began our morning at roughly 4:30am EST as the wind began to pick up. Just as I was rising out of my bed, a very large and very close bolt of lightning lit up the sky followed by an enormous boom of thunder. Unfortunately, the light show did not last very long and the rain was brief at best. Albeit intense at times.
Due to the questionable conditions and rather high winds of this system passing through. We have decided to delay our trip across the bay toward Charlevoix for another day. Hoping for a better weather window tomorrow. Until then, it will be another day or reading and writing.
